Community Self Defense Project

When: Saturday, April 29th 2-4 pm (registration at 1:30pm)

Where: Green Lake Community Center

RSVP: Here

In light of recent events in our country and our community, Greenlake Martial Arts will be offering a free Community Self Defense workshop in an effort to provide people the skills they need to protect themselves and others. We’ve heard many concerns over the past few months from people who are worried about a recent spike in hate crimes and harassment, and we want to provide an opportunity for people from all backgrounds to come together and get basic self defense skills that are easy to learn and highly effective.

This event is open to everyone. In times of such divisive rhetoric and action, it is vital that we come together as a community to support each other and make our city a safe place where everyone is welcome.

No prior experience is necessary to attend this workshop - just bring your enthusiasm and we’ll take care of the rest! Children are welcome to attend, but those under age 14 must be accompanied by a parent and parents must fill out waivers for students under age 18.

RSVP on our Facebook page if you are interested in attending, and feel free to contact us with any questions!
